Production planning
What makes an aluminum CNC part production-ready
An aluminum part is production-ready when the design, machining process, inspection plan, finish requirements, and supply expectations are stable enough for repeatable output.
Lock aluminum alloy and finish choices
Substitutions between 6061, 7075, 2024, MIC-6, or other aluminum grades can change machinability, appearance, corrosion resistance, anodizing results, and dimensional behavior. Confirm approved alternates before release.
Define inspection requirements
Clarify critical dimensions, measurement methods, reporting format, sampling plan, and records required for each shipment.
Plan packaging and handoff
Protect precision surfaces, cosmetic areas, threads, and sharp features. Good packaging avoids damage after a perfectly good part leaves inspection.
